pretty, happy, funny, real - 2014...vol.5...

apparently it snowed last night...

we woke up to fourteen inches of snow with the promise of maybe two more before the day is done.

have I ever told you how much my husband dislikes snow? probably because there is shoveling involved. they look like they are having so much fun don't they? Miss Court is nice and snug while the boys freeze. they are such good men my guys...

yep, he LOVED the three years we lived in Brunswick, Maine. L.O.V.E.D them I tell you. Of course before they went out to shovel, Jerry made sure they were well fed.

The ONLY thing Jerry likes about a snow day is that there will probably be BACON for breakfast.

Bacon makes everything better.

This amount of snow is a bit unusual for Northern Virginia. We usually get six inches over the course of two storms, so fourteen inches in one night leaves a bitter trail on Jerry's snow shovel. LOL!

we will be home the rest of the day. Both boys have the day off since their places of work are closed for the day due to the inclement weather. Jerry is looking forward to a Star Trek movie marathon and Jonathan is looking forward to marathon session of Settlers of Cataan later this evening. I am just looking for a little peace and quiet to snuggle in and read a book.

So happy snow day to one and all. I leave you now with Jerry's Ode to SNow...Just say NO!
